I like mama bears and teddy bears. Brown/grizzly variety. I dislike the association of the word bear with a masculine gay guy. I just like the softness, musclechub firmness, motherly protectiveness, and laziness aspects of a bear.
I told my last bf that first and foremost I am a teddybear and I'm figuring out the rest. He seemed to think I meant that I was an aspiring bear chub, and kept drawing attention to my most masculine features and using heavily gendered language to refer to me, even when I cemented that I was definitely trans.
