Thank fuck i only have OCD and not gender dysphoria. It's so much easier to get over repeated and severe intrusive thoughts and feelings when you have an actively supportive medical and peer community trying to get you better, instead of a horde of other people with the same mental illness whispering into your ear to give into the illness. Trans people are literally the only people with an actual mental illness who are told to go deeper into it instead of trying to cure or treat it. I truly hope we can open our eyes before too many people die as a result of this collective medical malpractice
