It radically changes your appearance, but it doesn't make you look like a totally different person, which is part of why so many post-FFS people end up crying about it "doing nothing". Whether your case of the ugly is caused by maleness or something else is going to be a very personal bone structure question we can't answer without seeing your face, and I can't advise posting your face here.
