As a result, doctors don't want to risk prescribing hrt anymore and tell patients to get a letter of approval from the insurance first, to cover their ass. If you do that, the insurance will tell you that they won't approve it because the doctor is allowed to just prescribe it on their own discretion. So in practice, there is currently no official way to get it anymore. The whole system is in limbo, and you'd know this if you didn't blindly trust the first response you get from chatty you absolute meat relay.
