you tell me. i'm a self hating moid man, i don't eat carbs. i lost interest in cooking since my ex dumped me so now all i eat is vegetables with proteins cooked in a chinese style. that and eggs/sardines/cheese and white cheese. i'm a kitchencel.
>>
I eat chili con carne 3 times a week and chicken and rice 3 times a week

saw a post here in which some guy said his trans gf eats ‘za all the time and it costs him a lot of money

I stopped eating meat this spring because I can't ethically defend it. I think I should cut out animal products entirely, but winter is coming and I'm already missing my comfort foods, which were very meat heavy. Stews etc. Not sure I can manage to fully align my diet with my principles unfortunately :(
>>
>>45107463
I think it’s great what you’re doing for the animals. I’d love to come over for some vegan chowder, if you think you could pull it off. I’m pretty judgmental about chowders.
>>
>>45107470
I don't know if I'll be able to maintain it. Seasonal depression is starting to hit and my usual copes are eating and drinking alcohol. My diet is nutritionally complete but lacks variety since I cut out meat. During summer that was easy to cope with because there was lots to do other than sit at home inside. I need to find something that will hit the same spot or I can see that I'm going to fail and backslide into eating corpses

Actually yeah, I'm cooking high quality vegan dishes full of greens and protein and low GI carbs regularly, and a few slightly cheaty meals here and there like pizzas or burgers. I like baking breads too and am gonna treat myself to a stand mixer for the holidays.
Although now that i think about it, modern women can't cook for shit and are allergic to anything that isn't dead animal so maybe being a 4 star chef at home is clocking me...
>>
>>45108423
almost all women under 30 are vegan or at least vegetarian. only moids still eat animals
>>
>>45107463
>>45107485
The biggest hurdle of going vegan is trying to replace meat, so my advice is actually to just not bother replacing it at all. Curry is great for this in winter, or you could start learning the thousand different ways to cook tofu, or you could make your old stew recipe but with a tin of beans or onions curls instead, etc. Greens are also higher in protein that you probably think, try to eat them with every meal.
>>
I am not good at cooking but I try to get better at it
>>
>>45108562
I've been eating dal makhini most days for the past 2 months, it's a great meal but I'm starting to be sick of it. But you're right, my biggest problem currently is just variety because I haven't tried a lot of recipes without meat yet. I'm not giving this up, thank you for your advice and encouragement

Stop trying to get gender euphoria via LARPing as a dumb ideological woman

Just eat hot dogs

>>45108439
This isn't even close to true. I've also had less difficulty explaining veganism to men than women or having them try the vegan stuff I bring for work lunch. All the women I know eat like autistic children.
>>
>>45108657
It's got nothing to do with gender for me. I work at an anatomy course for med students and lost my appetite for meat when I saw that a separated human thigh looks exactly like beef shank

Cooking is easy. Just heat chicken breast or extra lean beef on a frying pan without oil until it isn't raw anymore. I have a mostly carnivore diet and it's good, meat is all you need, I sometimes have a bit of potatoes though

You could always try being vegetarian in the winter and then vegan in the summer if you are conflicted btwn your values and needing to sustain yourself. I like comfort food in the cold months, too. I do lots of pumpkin, hardy greens and seasonal root vegetables. I've made gratinée potatoes, veg shepherds pie, lasagna, and lots of lentil soups for me an my gf this fall. Yummy!

I’m a big ‘zen ‘za enjoyer but it’s not good to be eating it all the time, maybe try making a proper dinner once or twice a week. gamergirl diet will probably catch up to you sooner or later
>>
>>45112825
The meme is that the subreddit is r/GirlDinnerDiaries. The OP is a tone-deaf tranner posting a typical moidchow dinner while loudly proclaiming that they’re trans. Girl dinners are typically non-cooked and consist of various items foraged from the fridge, similar to antipasto.

Humans don't eat humans because we regard each other as being a part of the same moral community. Dogs and cats are similarly a part of the human moral community, and should not be eaten. Cows are not a part of that same moral community, therefore it is acceptable to eat them.

IMO your mistake is a poor titration of biological judgements vs moral judgements. The starting point of "all living things are equally meat" will inevitably lead you either to destitute veganism or cannibalism, and the only dividing line is a moral system.

based but i eat meat anyway because im a bad person
>>
>>45113757
>Cows are not a part of that same moral community, therefore it is acceptable to eat them.
Why aren't they part of our moral community and why shouldn't they be? If you want to use big philosophy words, you should make some kind of argument that's not just descriptive observation.
>The starting point of "all living things are equally meat" will inevitably lead you either to destitute veganism or cannibalism,
What's destitute about veganism? You can live and thrive just fine without animal products.
>and the only dividing line is a moral system.
There are a lot of vegans and comparatively very few cannibals. So it seems people have found a moral system just fine. What is your point?
>>
>>45115052
>Why aren't they part of our moral community
their primary purpose isn't being a pet like cats and dogs
>You can live and thrive just fine without animal products
LOL
LMAO even
>>
>>45115077
>their primary purpose isn't being a pet like cats and dogs
This is still descriptive. Why should that be their purpose? Why should non-pet purpose for animals mean that their suffering is irrelevant?
>>
>>45115109
how are they suffering
>>
>>45115143
This is a clearly disingenuous question and I don't want to shit up the thread with this. Keep eating what you want to eat, but stop the philosophy cope
>>
>>45115155
humans are obligate omnivores
there are a lot of humans
what is your solution
stop the philosophyslop and give a real pragmatic solution
>>
>>45115167

we're not. no solution is needed. you were the one who started the philosophyslop lmao
>>
>>45115188
we are
eskimos only eat meat and they are unhealthy
jeets only eat veggieslop and they are unhealthy
a healthy diet without animal products requires a million supplements and simply isn't viable for most people

No my cooking is extremely male. I don't enjoy things like salads or charcuterie, the most fembrained thing I like is pasta dishes.
>>
pepperoni pizza with ranch dipping sauce is peak and i will not budge on this

Currently making the lentil stew from Adam Ragusa's latest video. Hope it lives up to my expectations, it looks great. I think stews are kind of malebrained, but idc

>>
>>45105403

>>
>>45107463
I have no moral backbone so I still eat meat and animal products, but I haven't eaten beef in years because of the environmental impact. I only eat chicken and fish, along with pork a couple times a year when I want to be overly indulgent. If you're trying to stick to being vegetarian, you can try Impossible meat and the like or things like tofu as a substitute depending on the dish, but replacing meat is just really hard and you should try learning dishes that don't need meat and incorporating more of those into your diet so you don't feel like you're having to compromise with substitutes. As other anons have said, Indian cooking is a great place to look for this.
>>
>>45116542
I ended up not liking it. I used star anise like he did in his previous video, and the flavor is way too strong, even though I only used a single one. Now I have a massive quantity of food I don't particularly want to eat
>>
>>45112931
I'll make some real food when I'm back on my ADHD meds,..,.,
>>
>>45107463
ive been vegan for 3 years or so and i acknowledge it'll be a really hard adjustment. i came from a heavily meat based family too, it caused me a lot of issues.

but, i couldnt keep on eating animal products. it just felt so utterly revolting. the 'staples' like milk, butter and eggs are hard to replace initially but i always preferred oat milk, theres a lot of plant based butters and eggs are very context dependant for what u need. cheese i wasnt a big fan to begin with but there are a bunch of options out there, for me it was mostly cows milk cuz i drank that everyday. i think the meat itself part is ironically the easiest part to let go of; good seasoning and good technique with cooking will suffice for the most part.

overall though i wouldnt aim for a 'substitute' mentality but rather look at it as a whole new set of food choices open to u; start chickpeamaxxing for instance..
>>
>>45105403
No, nothing about me passes.
