>parents upset they can no longer abuse their children

Were your parents supportive of you?

Or were they harmful?
>>
I was outed to my mom at 16. she trapped me in a room, then threatened to throw me out (but didn't), then threatened and berated and humiliated me for like an hour until I was a mess, then did that every day when I got home from school. Nobody will ever love you, you'll be a mutilated freak, you'll be pathetic, who made you like this, etc.

She also broke into my things and threw out all my trans stuff, called my teachers and therapist to tell them to misgender me, trying to sabotage my medical records so I couldn't transition.

after about a month and a half of this, I tried to end my life. things slowly got better after I failed. kinda.

my dad, he was lukewarm about it, then stopped calling again. Found me embarrassing.

my grandparents were fucking great about it though.
>>
>>45105747
I'm not out to any of them but to give you an idea of what my parents are like, my mother ranted to me today about my sister letting one of her daughters play with boy-coded toys using the phrase, among others, "they're not gonna force one of my granddaughters into a DYKE!"
>>
>>45105747
No my mom went through my stuff as an early teen and screamed at me. Although it's probably deserved for being a gross agp moid. She even told me I was too late a few times after denying me hrt at like 15 (I didn't know about diy). Our relationship worsened and she'd scream at me every day. Calling me a retard, a loser, a fagot, and mentally unwell along with just about every curse word you could think of. I think it's bc she blamed me for her divorce and was mad she didn't get any "normal sons" because my older brother is special needs. My dad acts like he doesn't notice even though she tells him everything and only really spoke about it once where he said he thought it was a bad idea. My brother and sister don't talk to me either bc i cut my mom off.
>>
>>45106250
Did you cut contact with your parents
>>
>>45105747
I repped until my 30s but no they were not. They wouldn't even let me grow out my hair.
>>
>>45106262
>they're

Will anybody stop the big toy agenda
>>
>>45106300
Do you think you'll ever reconcile with your brother or sister?
>>
>>45106331
She was referring to my sister and her husband.
>>
>>45105747
when i was 16 my mother kicked me out of the house and i had to sleep on the street (way before coming out of the closet to her mind you) and decided to report me to the police as missing bc "it wasn't my intention i'm 50teen >3:"

3 years later and now she just sees me as a "confused man", doesn't want to talk to me and wants to kick me if i ever try to grow my hair or do something "femenine"
>>
>>45105747
“parents” who treat children like objects they possess do not deserve children. “parents” who refuse medical treatment to their children due to personal faith/reasoning akin to JWs, should be held liable for the death of their children.

If they can’t comprehend this, they shouldn’t be having children to begin with.
>>
>>45106342
No. Recently my dad convinced me to see my mom, brother, and sister but it was really awkward. My mom acted like nothing was wrong and my sister and brother barely talked to me. My mom pays for my sister's everything and my brother just kinda blindly believes what my mom tells him so I doubt anything will change. Besides my brother told me he wishes my die and my sister said I make my wanna kill herself so it's pretty best I stay away.
>>
>wishes my die
Wishes id die
>>
>>45106413
They dont deserve you
>>
>>45106314
no. my dad cut contact with me. my mom, not until many years later and only partly related to trans stuff. She's dead now.
>>
>>45106710
How do you feel about your mom dying?
>>
>>45105747
Notice how not a single one of them says a word about what their child wanted. It's no coincidence that these people always come from conservative cultures where it's taken for granted that children (and young adults too) have no real rights
>>
>>45105747
School staff hiding a transition from parents, is total overreach.
School should be sued into oblivion. The teachers involved fired and banned from collecting a pension.
>>
>>45107898
>not a single one of them says a word about what their child wanted.
wdym? They're literally saying their kids wanted to take hormones/transition.
>>
>>45105747
Bunch of pedos who then will say, if the kid can choose their identity, get surgery, sterilize themselves, and take puberty blockers, why can't they consent to sex?
Idk if trannies can't see where this is going, or if they can but dismiss it as collateral damage.
>>
>>45107909
why? if a parent is starving their child and the school feeds them should the parents have the right to file a lawsuit against the school for feeding their child? if a parent breaks their kid's arm and the school puts a cast on and send them home with it, then it would negligent if not outright abusive for the parent to be upset that the child was provided with care.

the problem isn't that the child was socially transitioned at school. the problem is the parents upset that their children have their own agency and rights that the parents aren't allowed to trample over. parents are allowed to indoctrinate their children into religion, but god forbid the child wants their sex changed. it's ridiculous. these parents don't love their child. they love the idea of their child. a fantasy of who they think they are and how they ought to be. when their child doesn't meet that expectations they lose their shit because they no longer feel in control.
>>
>>45107909
I think you dying of cancer would improve the world
>>
>>45107917
Watch the video again. The framing is exclusively "the bad government agents tried to steal my poor innocent child away from me". What the children did or didn't want is never mentioned
>>
>>45105747
Mom was always supportive but my grooming rapist father always tried to control how feminine I presented myself as a kid

>>45107964
In such cases, CPS is contacted.
The same thing that the teacher should do, if the kid expresses fear of the parent finding out about their trans status.
Even in the cases you state, the school wouldn't hide they fed the kid, or that they took the kid to get a cast.
Don't hide shit from parents.
Teachers hiding the transition of children, from parents, is creepy af.
>>
>>45107976
Lol. The well adjusted tranny. Exhibit #349554
>>
>>45108035
They literally say the kids wanted to be called 'boy' or 'girl', take testosterone, and socially transition.
>>
>>45105747
These laws make sense for MtFs because of how low the desistance rate is and how critical the early intervention is. FtMs don't need to be taken because they desist at higher rates the younger they are, and the desistance is already crazy high, and T will turn them to men however late they take it so they can wait and see if they still want it past puberty.
>>
>>45105747
>>parents upset they can no long
Notice the disproportionate amount of afabs. The afabs are definitely faking trans
>>
>>45105747
I'm not out and I'm planning to pretend that nothing is going on until my HRT usage is spotted. By then they would not be able to do anything.
I don't know if they could be supportive if I come out without this whole complicated hiding plot. Is there a way to know? My dad was very pleased when Trump banned "teachers telling boys that they are girls", but otherwise I have no idea what he thinks of trans people other than he finds the concept of transitioning unnecessary, just as he sees him paying or his other child's psychiatric medication and therapy as unnecessary, pointless and wasteful. My mother is homophobic against gay men, she thinks that a lot of them are pedophiles and think that they "reproduce" socially by raping boys and other men and she thinks that lesbian women are ''the raped'' who choose to date women out of fear of men, and she thinks that changing sex is bad for health and pointless. Is there a chance that they would be supportive, since I don't legally depend on them so there is no possibility that they will get any fear of paying into my ''lifestyle'', so it will be similar to me idk being vegan or any other thing they might find stupid?
>>
>>45108143
You just listed two more jew pedophile controlled things congratulations you might actually get it soon
>>
>>45108467
It all depends on if their loyalty is to family or the government.

Some conservatives love their family no matter what, and some are mindless NPCs that love the government no matter what.

This will sound harsh, but how you look matters immensely. Look like a typical girl, yeah theres a chance. Look like a trans girl you see on reddit, less likely.

Conservatives think lookism is very important, appearances are very important. Its why Trump can rape kids, and its cool, because he sounds like a Republican president when giving speeches and Ivanka is pretty, so she can steal billions of tax money
>>
>>45105747
I looked up the second one for a previous thread, and I found buried in one article that Yaeli was removed from the home over accusations of physical abuse. The majority of sites covering it omitted that part and ran with the state transing a confused girl.
The tboy then named Andrew committed suicide via laying on train tracks after being returned to the home
>inb4 being returned means the mom was found innocent
It is famously incredibly hard to validate such abuses in cps family court
>>
>>45105747
parents are always harmful as they never come to terms with the fact their child has autonomy
i say this because the ones that do become detached from the parental role and become less-so parents and more-so close friends
>>
>>45108467
Don't be an embarrassing ogre that dresses as if they were teen bait.

>>
>>45105747
Mix of supportive and harmful. Mostly supportive but also kind of influencable.

We live in a country where getting hrt is easy, even for a minor, and we live near a big city with lots of doctors. But of course my mom disregarded everything I said about hrt and believed that she knew better than me about everything after 1 night of looking things up on Google. Ended up wasting 3 years because of her, and just did diy. And yet, even after she busted me, she still has no idea what hrt does or how you get it. She still thinks that you gotta see a therapist for months to get a diagnosis before getting an endocrinologue (you can just ask any doctor and they can prescribe it for you, as long as they're willing. Iirc it's a bit more strict for minors but you can still get a prescription easily in 1 or 2 appointmens). She did end up listening to detrans people too lol.

Can still remember the way they tried to drill me for why I was trans, it was a nightmare. You don't see me drilling you for why you don't want to be a man.

So yeah. Better than a lot of parents but still not great at all.
>>
>>45108503
I see, I have no idea how loyal to the government my parents are. My mother doesn't like how even voting itself works, she wants direct democracy like in some European (? from what I remember) country and dad rarely talks about politics, I only know that he likes this particular thing Trump allegedly did and he doesn't like furries and thinks that furry is a gender and he wants Soviet union back.
>This will sound harsh, but how you look matters immensely. Look like a typical girl, yeah theres a chance. Look like a trans girl you see on reddit, less likely.
Oh, I'm not transitioning in this direction, it is the other way around. So I assume the normal girl advice doesn't apply and it is about being a typical man instead? I'm afraid that I will be a gigapoon for quite some time at least since I have an unfortunate build and I don't know if I could pass all mother's masculinity tests that she would start doing when she finds out.
>Conservatives think lookism is very important, appearances are very important. Its why Trump can rape kids, and its cool, because he sounds like a Republican president when giving speeches and Ivanka is pretty, so she can steal billions of tax money
I don't know if my parents even know that about Trump, honestly. Western news poorly circulate unless it is about the "special military operation", Israel, furry paranoia or about LGBT paranoia, at least in my home.
>>
>>45108803
Apologies for assuming.

The advice stands, appearance matters but pooners get infantilillsed a lot, your parents may assume you've been influenced by... the internet, your friends etc. You have to be more resolute to become a pooner, in my experience of talking to trans people

Luckily testosterone is the nuclear hormone, it will definitely ease dysphoria. You'll struggle to hide those changes, so a conversation may happen sooner than later.

Worst case scenario, could you support yourself if you had to leave home? Are the services local to you accessible?
>>
>>45108982
>but pooners get infantilillsed a lot, your parents may assume you've been influenced by... the internet, your friends etc.
They kind of already do this infantilization thing already, partially it is my fault since I gave up on putting much effort into life when I was repping/didn't realize what I had going on.
>You'll struggle to hide those changes, so a conversation may happen sooner than later.
Yeah, I'm realizing this and I'm really scared of it somewhat since all my life I had been the more ''normal'' sibling, even if I had been kind of a dependent vegetable, it is only recently that I have been trying to do anything to be less dependent financially. I know that they would not dare to directly physically hurt me for this, but I guess I would have to figure out some new living arrangements for the time after I finish university since I don't know if any of them would be okay with living with someone who is taking weird substances and if they wouldn't start asking even more weird questions than they already have done. It is just very scary since I had put in so much effort into not exposing them to this stuff because I don't want them to assume all kinds of bizarre shit.
>Worst case scenario, could you support yourself if you had to leave home? Are the services local to you accessible?
I would not be able to support myself fully in the closest time, but hopefully in a few months I will. What services do you mean?

Contrary to the rest of the thread my parents are supportive. They suck really hard in other ways, but it's really not their fault. They had me when they were 18 so they were just kinda irresponsible somewhat neglectful parents. Nothing really bad outside of my dad striking me a few times. I'm a 27 year old lateshit who has only recently come out to them though. Before that they just thought I was gay, which they've been fine with since highschool. I don't have beef with my dad or anything, just rarely ever talk to him. I'm always doing stuff with my mom though.
>>

>>45108595
yeah and the mom still bitches about California transing her kid
>>
>>45108575
i very much agree! my mum let me transition at 16 and she's basically always been more of a roommate than a "parent" we're super close though
>>
>>45105747

Most parents should kill themselves or be imprisoned. For having children in horrible conditions alone. Don't care which we go with.

>How do you feel about your mom dying?
Ha. bummed. She suicided in a car crash and was burned to the point of being completely unrecognizable. they just barely identified her from dental records. She forgot she ever did all the DIY conversion therapy shit on me and refused to talk about any other abuse she perpetrated, so we can never work it out or resolve it.

I was really really not ok for a while but it's gotten much easier. With grief therapy, trauma therapy, and time.
>>
>>45109701
my dad was in the hospital recently on the verge of death and I felt the same. he was abusive and I was homeless at 16. he believes he did nothing wrong and thinks I'm a bad person for not being grateful to him. I thought about it and really just felt nothing. if course I would love to have a good relationship with my dad, but its obvious he will never grow, apologize or normalize. I can't attach any worth to his abuse, he's just a flawed sad person. When he dies I think the only thing I will feel is "ok I guess so". I honestly kind of hoped he died because then my mom would be free and she is very much abused by him but also willingly stays its really gross.
>>
>>45105747
My earliest memory was using my mom's lipstick and getting in trouble for it. When I was 8 I tried to come out and my mom had my dad take me out to do yard work and talk about what it means to be a man. Then they took me to a therapist who taught me how to dissassociate and rep.

I didn't start transitioning until I was 22 because it was that or kill myself. I could have had an actual childhood. Instead I'm a fucking freak. Thanks Mom!

I have very loving parents, but they don't really know how to handle this stuff. They basically act as if I never told them and when it is brought up, they don't really respond.

They were this way when I came out as gay to them in high school, same when I dated a man in my mid 20s, and the same now that I finally started my transition in my early 30s.

I tried to explain to them how this behavior implies that they are ashamed of me and that it has caused me to repress for most of my life. I have a hard time disappointing them. They're receptive during the discussion, but afterwards fall back into the same behaviors.

It's hard for me to be mad at them, as otherwise, they're very loving and supportive parents. They've done so much to support me through life, but their refusal to accept this part of me has done so much to shape my life. I feel stunted.
>>
>>45107909
I worked as a teacher for 8 years. No one is actively hiding anything. I'm not contacting and outing a kid who goes by a different pronoun or a different name to their parents. If a kid didn't want me to use the same name and pronoun with their parents, that was fine. Kids should be free to experiment away from their parents.
>>
>>45107930
None of this has anything to do with sex. Going through a puberty that doesn't align with our identity is a traumatic experience for a trans person--one that will have repercussions for the rest of our lives.

Transition is about aligning our body to our identity. It's not about fucking.
>>

>>
>>45105747
You just know all these parents were doing shit like beating the fuck out of the kid or starving them or worse
>>
>>45110542
They absolutely were.

In the UK, if parents are abusive towards their trans kids, then thats legally allowed.

If a parent is supportive, then thats considered abuse, and the child is imprisoned, id imagine the USA is similar in practice

self-identified "estranged parent" types always have to be the victim in their stories, they're all total narcissistic bpd nutballs
>>
>>45105747
I have a really hard time taking parents that lose their children seriously, either from them being taken away or their kids just ghosting and leaving. It always, always, always presents the parent as the victim of some horrible injustice and they never even consider that they could have been wrong, or just outright hurtful to their children. Like, I wouldn’t be surprised if half the parents here didn’t even lose their children over trans issues but something else entirely.

They’re taking away my kid cuz the woke! Uhh… beating my tranny faggot kid when I was drunk? That’s just traditional values, ya commie! It builds character!

That's really hard, anon. It's hard to live with being one of the only people who knows and acknowledges they did horrible shit to you. Especially if there's other people, like your mom, who witnessed it don't take it seriously or respond appropriately or intervene. I always felt better telling people about it for that reason, but that's just me.

I do think that it gets easier to live with it later though. It can feel easier, or it still feels the same amount of bad but you also have good shit going on. Like, I don't know, you have a broken window in your house that you can't fix and have to cover over with a blanket, but after 5-10 years, that room is actually quite cozy and well-decorated and okay to be in, and there is no more broken glass on the floor. It just looks fucked up and is drafty sometimes, and it's gonna have to be like that forever.

also, it's ok to feel ok if your parent dies or is going to die. my siblings felt a lot more relief than I did when my mom died, and it made sense to.
>>

that's a very nice metaphor. I'm in my 30s its not like it ruins my day too day but you kind of just can't always have a relationship with your parents and out is what it is. others than me have it even worse
