I don't think that's true. I know a handful of trans moms my age IRL from local parents' groups who have bio kids. and other trans people, though I'm sure you mean women specifically. obviously, a partner who can and will carry a kid is likely required, but clearly that happens for some people. t. 35, FTM dad (transitioned at 18, had a kid at 33)
