Basically when i was a kid i saw other kids acting like anyone over 15 was old and i was very very confused.Why? Where did any young person get the impression that there were only young people?I've seen this again and again where very young people have this weird impression that the world ends at 30. >>45168943true. it reminds me of this post i saw from a foid who was mid-40s and had no retirement savings and just a few hundred dollars in her bank account. idk how you get to that point. i had a few rough patches in my 20s where i didn't make much money and was financially insecure so i made sure to save like hell whenever i could. any month where things were going well i just threw as much money as i could into savings. now i'm 30 and i at least have the peace of mind of knowing that if i lost my job or broke up with my bf and needed to find my own place it wouldn't lead to financial ruin because i have a healthy emergency fund, and my pension fund is looking good too. because of this my life is a lot more enjoyable now and i feel like i can actually invest in myself. the health part is super important too, i'm glad i quit drinking, never smoked or did drugs and started going to the gym and found a sport i love doing while i was still young. super excited for my 30s, my 20s were a bit of a struggle but i worked hard and took opportunities that came my way and it paid off.
