I hate we'd so much, I'm fucking addicted and ruined. I can barely make it to 2pm before I give up on my remote job and I'm ripping a bong and checking out for the day. Every day. I can't quit because the scromiting is too intimidating, lol.

one of my closest friends started using weed daily or almost daily and it got to a point where i just didn't really want to associate with her anymore. it sucks but don't blame her, she had mental health issues that she tried to get help for but the system failed her so i guess she self-medicated. unfortunately weed changed her personality a lot, i don't think she even realised but to me it was obvious. she used to be a pretty driven person with very clear ideas of what she wanted out of life and weed made her unmotivated, lazy and just generally kinda dumb. now there were some positive changes too, like it made her less highly strung and more relaxed around people for example, but the negatives outweighed that. like i enjoyed her company because of how smart and curious about the world around her she was and because i admired her drive to improve herself, so when she became someone who did nothing but get high every day it was a bit hard for me to accept because it wasn't at all what i pictured for her future when we first became friends. maybe that's on me, maybe i should have been more willing to accept her that way instead of forcing my image of what her life should be like on her, but it's just so different from the life i live that it became difficult to relate to her. just my two cents.

I stopped because I started developing psychotic symptoms. It's okay in moderation but like any drug it's easy to fall into a routine where you are taking it every day as a shortcut to feeling good. Then it gets less effective at making you feel good and just makes you crazy, just my experience with it

I used to be a daily smoker, I actually really slowed down post transition. I went from like 3 or 4 bowls a day to smoking a couple times a month max nowadays. Some months I dont even smoke, its largely a social thing. When I was getting myself to stop drinking every day I did smoke semi daily as a crutch and weened off of it.

I fell for the vape memes and ended up addicted to green crack lmao. I can't sus out the difference between "addictive the way meth is addictive" and "addictive the way weed is addictive," I know they're different, but I was hooked solid on super weed from vape pens, like 90% for a while. Eventually I couldn't do anything without it, I needed one for the morning, one to get me through the afternoon, and one to make me sleepy, so I was rotating vapes and carts like all day, spending hundreds a week to keep it rolling. Eventually I just broke one night, like an insane shifting of emotions so I spent hours crying, then I guess I started to pass out, or something weird happened where I collapsed in the kitchen, crawled down the hallway into my room, and just curled up in front of the bed because I couldn't get up, and sat there/laid there on my knees and side like someone had just pushed me over, and I had a weird hallucination, like an OOBE where I died and went to heaven, then I woke up at like 4am, turned all the lights off, and went to sleep normally. From then I did my best to wean off of the carts, so literally just taking weeks where I would try to go without, get too sick, and hit the vapes again. Took a while but I was able to just quit them entirely.

Weed is crazy man. I remember when it was illegal and getting ahold of something in the high teens THC % was fucking phenomenal, now that's what they sell in dispos and people will straight up spit on you if you try to smoke them up with anything less than 50+% designer flower. Fucking drug is supposed to mellow you out and yet everyone on it is a paranoid fart huffing prick, 4x as bad if they haven't smoked yet that day.

Use a hitter, whenever I smoke I do a very small hit, half the size of a penny, then I wait a bit to see if I can feel the effects and repeat until I do.

I like weed but I kinda just use it as a sleeping aid at this point. I'll load up my vape right before bed and either feel all good and tingly or I'll have an existential crisis and come up with all kinds of schizo-theories about the universe but it always knocks me out real good.
I try not to do it every single day but there's times where I do. I've done it regularly since 2020 and haven't really noticed a big tolerance increase. A few grams can last me months desu

Maybe, but it felt so unbelievably real in that moment, as if I'd discovered some kind of objective truth to existence itself. I've also had very occasional visual and audible hallucinations since then but they only happen when I'm very close to falling asleep so it's probably not related.

I just wish I could go back to feeling good on weed again, I really miss it but I'm terrified to risk feeling like that again :(

Guess you need to pursue spirituality first, I know that feeling, beyond scary, when something similar happened to me I started compilating all sorts of religious and spiritual information, I guess that you had a religious background and somehow that got distilled into the spark that ignited and showed you the road to.
