Do blind trannies exist?Could you still get dysphoria if you can't see your body?
>>45206380Yeah I'd imagine
Social interaction contradictions, puberty genitalia contradictions, sexuality and role contradictions. (Yes she'd know)
I read somewhere that blind from birth people are unable to recognize shapes they were familiar with after they gain their sight and I think that's bullshit, so I don't know, unless they get to feel how different women are from men.
Yes there are blind trans people.
>>45206380voice dysphoria? you would still be able to hear the differences in male and female voices
Have you guys considered going and finding a blind trans person and asking. I’m sure there’s at least one out there on the internet
touch is prior to sight. she could still feel her body hair etc.
>>45206906it's more fun to imagine what they would say
>>45206906How would a blind person use the internet?
>>45207212Braille keyboard + text to speech programs. I actually find accessibility technology really fascinating, I had to take a course on it for one of my humanity credits. Blind people are perfectly capable of using computers. For example, a blind person could look up a youtube video of a puppy barking, listen to the title of the video, listen to the puppy barking in the video, and then listen to the comments. They can type using braille keyboards and the letters are spoken out loud by the computer when typed so they know what they typed, and they can go back and check it by clicking the arrow keys (depends on the program). Accessibility software is really cool I love nerding out about it
>>45206380read this really cool article by a blind trans hockey player: https://www.sense.org.uk/blog/coming-out-as-transgender-has-been-shaped-by-my-blindness/
>>45207402correction: he doesn't play ice hockey, but he does play goalball. I got confuse because the article mentions he enjoys hockey and I know that blind ice hockey is a thing
>>45206380i can't tell if not being able to see would make me care less or more about how i look
i googled it and yes they do exist and they do medically transition
>>45207382amazingly ableton move actually has screen reader support thru its web config app you can get to over wifi; so your phone can read the device's screen; pressed buttons; and knob turns aloudthe schwung custom firmware can do it directly on the device with tts stuff; i was really amazed ableton took the thought to consider blind accessstill wish it had 8 tracks though or atleast 4 more midi-only tracksaccessibility stuff is interesting to me too; though i dont use much of it; sometimes i make my iphone screen green and lower the brightness below what the normal setting allows when my eyes are extra sensitivei with you could do a actual monochrome color though; you have to like get a sweet spot in the hue slider that makes the other colors go away fully but it only does that on green; blue; red; and i think maybe purple; for some reason; anything in between those still shows other colors and you cant combine it with greyscale to give the greyscale a color tint
>>45207521my computer is in greyscale right now, I can toggle it on and off with a keyboard shortcut :)sorry to hear about the iphone not being able to be full greyscale. Are you sure that's the case though? When I searched it on google it says there is a way for full greyscale on iphone
>>45207521yeah I just checked and my iphone has greyscale so I dunno maybe we have different iphones or you're in the wrong settings
>>45207602it does but it cannot be tinted to a hue and saturation in a subsequent step; you either hue shift filter or you get greyscale; you cant apply a color tone to the greyscale; atleast not with builtin accessibility stuff
any braillehons online
