Detailing how dozens and dozens of nearly identical elf clans settle in nearly identical places.More to the point, most of the elves are noldor. I want to enter the headspace of someone who thinks Gurm's simple 300-year history is a better example of worldbuilding than Tolkien's Legendarium. Really, it seems fascinating.
Mythology, legends, and history definitely aren't for everyone, and it was this mismatch of personality and material that led you to voice such an objectively wrong opinion. I don't blame you for it, OP, for there was no way for you to know any better, but I do think you should now simply walk away from it quietly.

This breaks the flow of the narrative with stuff that is irrelevant even if it's interesting. The authentic J.R.R. Tolkien version would have been much more readable and also would have had lengthy appendices and a frame story explaining the imagined textual history of the included documents for the people who care about that kind of thing.
