did you not read the blurb? every sentence rings with truth and power
>>
summarize that mf for us what's the power of now is like a "do it now" thing to stop procrastinating or is like "all that cringe is in the past bro just live in the now"

I'm not op. You can kind of get the gist of the whole book in the first chapter. Though maybe not all its tools.
Basically it's a sort of way of acceptance of feelings. Any feelings you have you can hold and "feel" but not let them dictate your world. The now is feelings in the present and as separate from their consequences or ego or possibilities or culture or whatever.
It's actually a pretty good idea and written fairly well. And I say this as someone who isn't into this sort of shit. A girl got me to read it and I was actually fairly impressed with it.

Just read 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

That guy simply had a mental breakdown and then spent 3 months sitting on park benches.

basically the self is illusory so you shouldn't identify so strongly with thoughts
brain uses you, you're not using the brain-- which sucks balls
meditation is the tool to help practice disidentification with thought and not being dragged around mentally in a swamp of rumination and other bullshit

that's what i got form reading a few chapters a year ago

the park benches thing is real btw. enlightened people spend a lot of time on park benches.

It's badically a primer on ego dissolution. Very good introductory book for Western readers.
