The chapter pretty much confirms this new artificial life are going to be future enemies in the games/books. Cortana didn't even try to undo any of it.
I actually am listening to the audiobook. I highly recommend it because of all the different people they got to narrate these.I think it was chapter 10, the one with the female Grunt commander, that shit was very fun to listen to.
