why is there such a devastating lack of literature on the post-WW2 deindustrialization of the west?it's undoubtedly one of the most important events in our history and yet nobody seems to know anything about it or even talk about it other than the vague "we needed cheap stuff" statement, which isn't even correct
>>25307295Because it demonstrates the moral poverty of liberalism and any art that does so is discouraged and deamplified.
>>25307295nobody understands economics, even though many people have strong opinions about it.
>why is there such a devastating lack of literature on the post-WW2 deindustrialization of the west? Why pay an American to work when you can just move the factory to Asia and get some kid to do the same work for pennies? Now they're cutting out the middle men and bringing the foreigners here to do jobs they couldn't relocate overseas.Desegregation was a factor too, when blacks took over US cities crime skyrocketed and the whites fled to safer areas, and without white money there was less incentive to keep factories in cities like Detroit or Philadelphia.
>>25307325i read this entire post as "they're anti-white"
>>25307322To be fair, even professional economists don't understand economics.https://youtu.be/1Fj0zRmEWYc?si=M2RRft4mZWKPf0E3
>>25307295I don’t know see that’s bad. The west has advanced past the need for industry and is a service-based economy right now. It’s just the natural evolution of economy. From the blue collar perspective it sucks. But in the bigger picture the west is way ahead of everyone else.

>>25307340>But in the bigger picture the west is way ahead of everyone else.I'm pretty sure this is bait but on the off chance it isn't, the wealth of the US as a nation isn't indicative of the wealth of its citizens. US citizens were much wealthier when the country was industrialized.
There's no lack of literature about it. The deindustrialization of the west occurred under Reagan, a right wing politician. There's plenty of books about it and even documentaries. You're probably not finding them because probably you're looking for another scapegoat like immigrants, brown people, women, and annunakies.
>>25307350>The deindustrialization of the west occurred under Reagan, a right wing politician.Wow, the deindustrialization of the United States began in 1981 and ended in 1989? I didn't know that! How enlightening!
>>25307350Was Reagan president from 1950 all the way into the 2020s?
>>25307345They weren’t wealthier but they could buy land easier.

>>25307356They were absolutely wealthier. Wages were higher, taxes were lower, and almost all consumer goods except electronics were cheaper.
>>25307359Nope. I looked at the data
>>25307335yes, that’s what I meant.
>>25307295What the hell are you talking about? Look up Nachkriegszeit literature.

>>25307295>america turning into mordor after industrial revolution ends and society collapsesnewton and descartes were bad people desu. Descartes probably talked to demons to himself in a quiet room and told him all his "knowledge". To think we could be living in comfy middle ages or antiquity instead of this industrial demonscape.
>>25307295It would be a pretty short book
This is a choice. Embargo all imports and watch the manufacturing return.>Muh rare earths We have them. Force companies to mine and refine them here.>Muh cheap treatsAmericans need to make their own baubles and toys. Pay the real cost for these things, stop relying on slave labor. If we locked in we’d be a manufacturing hub again
>>25309212the way the government suppresses white men with opinions is by reducing the number of jobs for white men and then demanding that the white men with opinions be fired and incentivizes their wives to break up the family
>>25309212>Pay the real cost for these thingsthe real cost is low. manufacturing was only valuable/high paying when the only factories in the world were in the west. once other countries industrialized the supply of employees for these jobs skyrocketed into the billions and the price naturally went down as a result. the united states being a wealthy country is not some default natural state, but a quirk of history and politics.
