Picolata Road - It's a historic Florida novel, has a lot of interesting bits about old Florida in an underexplored era.
>>25312038Yes, it's probably the most important novel written in the past 100 years. That's not to say you'll like it, it's disgusting. But it's important.
The Gunslinger and Blood Meridian are both pretty great.
>>25312120That’s my thoughts also. Cowboys ar ethe American modern day parable to knights and the chiVALRIC
>>25311933The Brothers Sisters
>>25312571I'm genuinely shocked nobody's written a Don Quixote adaptation about cowboys yet. It seems so obvious
>>25312630Not really, the cultural dynamics of the two settings are totally different. You'd have to tack on a bunch of only vaguely related shit to the concept of a cowboy to make it fit the "anachronistic knight" thing and even then that would force you to set it well after the wild west period had ended in which case you're not even doing what you set out to anymore.

Going to recommend this one if you like westerns and sci-fi
>>25316664Been meaning to read this. Have it downloaded. Had a customer suggest it to me and it seems like kind of a cool crossover of genres. Thanks for reminding me of it, I'll read it after my current book.
