Is this book a meme or actually worth reading?
>>25315397It was good for its time but if you’ve had any exposure to the online right in the past 5 years it’s going to come off as trite and childish. His writing is serviceable and there’s a couple solid passages but the entire thing is just kinda meh. Don’t read Gothic Violence, it’s awful.

It's a very fun book but also a microcosm of pre-covid and post alt-right online dissident culture. You had to be there to get it.

It wasn't bad. It's vaguely embarrassed about itself but charming for all that. The core takeaway is that modern society is a form of harassment architecture and fire fixes that faster. Listen to the youtube version instead of reading it.
