You guys are not grasping this thing from the correct end. Women don't find any hobby inherently attractive or unattractive. When they say things like this, it's about what image they want to present. Literature and high culture in general is thought to be prestigious, so when they say that they think it's hot when a man reads, what they are actually trying to say is that "I'm a sophisticated lady who can only be fulfilled by a sophisticated man, I'm not shallow like other women."
