>>25319003I've returned to the medieval based-on-occupation-actions meta where you candidly name your characters' last names like epithets. For example:Benson Bastion: Owner of the safest tavern in the cityElroy Prolonger: Known for overthinking or overexplaining thingsTerrence Rustler: Famous cowboyJoy Boquet: Always smells fragrantParis Challenger: An iconoclastic, national paragonJason Stalwart: The most resilient and loyal in a crowdAdelaide Mist: Ethereal appearances and disappearancesAustin Commonwealth: Very generousDrew Catchpenny: Frugal/greedyCamden Shivers: Often cold/scaredAnd so on. You can do this with first names, too, and even with just the syllables and soft/hard consonants. It does a huge favor the audience and author, because it's easier to remember and introduce these characters. If you're clever enough, the audience may not even be aware of the foreshadowing. Like in The TRUMAN show: True man, because he was the only real person in his entire world. Get clever with it.
