Got around to asking the hard questions and figured out the term to the feelings of my inadequacies lately.

Short form video addiction has apparently gripped me. But I'm a tough nut in every way. So I've decided on using books to help me along with building a non-destructive gym plan while setting a time limit on games and the like.

That isn't what this thread is about though, it's about the book I've chosen.
Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace.
I need something the size of a cannon ball, mentally and physically to get me out, so I'll suffer the rewiring of my brain until I can finish it. I'm picking it up from Barnes and Noble in about an hour. Fuck the matrix I'm getting out.

Don’t do it. That book sucks. The book you’re looking for is called Phenomenology of Spirit

Husserl Ideas 1.

It's easy, relatively simple, doesn't require a previous philosophy background beyond a very basic understanding of Aristotle, Descartes and Kant and Husserl has been life-changing for me.
He criticized the natural attitude we have towards the things, as well as the Cartesian scepticism and introduces an "eidetic" attitude.

IJ is good but you might find it difficult if you are a beginner reader, I recommend The Count of Monte Cristo if you’d like a long but simple book to get lost in
