Asimov actually read the entire bible and wrote this to clearly and simply tell what it says. -- It's better than Cliffsnotes, that's for sure.

His eagerness to learn about any and every topic AND use said topics to develop his stories is what makes him my favorite author, and is an aspect of him i try to emulate. His books about the greeks, romans and egyptians are very good as well

It's decent, gives you some historical context and hebrew language stuff that's useful. His atheism is evident and I assume there must be a less cynical and more informative one out there you could read, but this works in a pinch.

Unironically good. "Asimov" wrote a giant useful guide to the bible and managed to remain neutral throughout. My dad is a devote Catholic and really sticks to his lane of books to read, but he was really impressed with this book.
