I'm pretty suicidal and it's slowly getting worse to the point I can see a future where I 'unalive' myself
I don't have any hopes that my life will get better I just want to suffer less. turn my brain off a little, like a computer
what are some good books about coping strategies. not really into dbt but could try
alternatively what drugs will achieve the same result of you not wanting to kill yoursel

Stop reading antinatalist nonsense and develop a hobby that involves being active if not social.
>>
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:3-12.

You don't need books you need Elisha Long

First understand that capitalism is causing your feelings. You can't understand it through antinatalism. Biologically you are geared to survive, to find life worth living. Capitalism makes you miserable and reject life. Marx is the thinker requires to understand your misery.

Secondly the best I can suggest to you *moderate* drinking every now and then, like a pint or two of beer. Nicotine in the form of pouches. Caffeine in concentrated doses. Keep the use of these limited or you will build up a tolerance and combine them with productive study, even if just recreational, be it studying music or drawing or reading or math etc.

Get a gym membership *or* go running in the morning.

Join a club for chess, art, reading, or political organization or anything. Do not isolate yourself even though it feels more comfortable and socializing is a pain in the ass.

Depends on the nature of your depression. Like are you going to go manic & suddenly off yourself or are you just feeling aimless & like nothing matters, leading you to the conclusion of suicide as nothing else seems worth doing?
You need a reason to care about anything, even if you have people you care about you still need a reason to care about them in the first place.
The typical books people recommend for this are myth or Sisyphus or Man’s search for meaning. Those are good but I don’t think they give a convincing argument for why you should care about anything to begin with, it’s almost like they presuppose that you want to care & work from there, rather than from a place of someone not caring to begin with. I think the sequences from eliezer yudkowsky comes the closest to giving a satisfying answer to this. Even if it isn’t perfect, again nothing else comes close. Open to any other suggestions though, Im curious if something else comes close.

>what drugs will achieve the same result
Tricky question. Any number of drugs will get you high, but most are addictive and dangerous.
The only drugs that can change your mindset are psychedelics, but you should absolutely not use them when depressed.
My advice: try magic mushrooms, but get comfortably stoned on weed as you come up. They make for a beautiful combination.

1. try homosexual sex to relief the pressure in your rectum
2. go for a walk in a park
3. join a church
4. become a homeless drug addict
5. kill yourself

Can you expand on this please? I can't understand capitalism very well.

From a fellow suicidal frenchfag : the books that help clearing the skies are short, clever thoughts from clever people, not necessarily depressed ones.
Rhumbs by Paul Valéry, La Pesanteur et la Grâce by Simone Weil, Cyrano de Bergerac, Montaigne's Essays...
The point was getting in contact with beauty, intelligence and alterity of thought in a form that was digestible by my weakened mind.
In this mental state, I tend to "get" poetry more naturally, proto-emo-goths in particular such as Baudelaire, Lamartine, Châteaubriand.

The classic advice against depression still stands : in that order : sleep, diet, therapy (CBT, ACT), exercise, medication. And seeing loved ones, and doing loved things. Shit does work, I'm in a much better state now than some months ago, still suicidal but I don't consider it a total curse, as being close from death is freeing in an emotional and intellectual way. I had thoughts in this state that I consider useful and rich enough to write a book from, probably for other depressed mfs.

Hang in there depressed anon, it gets better, and we'll all die anyway, hurrying is pontless.

For suffering less, working at a fast-paced job and intense exercise are very good ways of silencing the mind.
Chilling with animals or plants too.

>Never attempts to achieve anything
>Avoids hardship and confrontation
>"Why am I sad?"

Lift weights, drink water, talk to people, have the fucking balls to actually try doing the things you like to do even if there's a chance you'll fail.
>"But I don't know what I wa-"

You don't solve life by reading a fucking book. You live life. Go out and live life OP. Drugs will not help you and reading some gay ass book won't either. Actually living will.

normalfag advice. there is no escape, you only find ways to cope

>You live life

What does this mean?
>>
>>25328820
Wanting for escape is true normalfag shit. Life is will to power and life seeks to discharge its own strength. Only the weak and the botched yearn for another world. Only the weak and the botched negate this world because they are powerless to act within it. I'll see you on the steppe coward.
