But the Internet is such an invasive aspect of your lives nowadays, you're constantly being exposed to it, i can't even make transactions nowadays since everyone is using cellphone applications to transfer money. Having a little demonic black box which can provide endless hedonism and novelty is much worse than a television which is stationary at all times.

Every day LLM models either get more optimized or the hardware improves to the level that the noise level of the internet rises as accessibility and capability rises until its nothing but garbage. Today only large companies have access to frontier models that can break any captcha. 10 years from now you can probably do it from your laptop. I’m old enough to remember using a dial up system to try and register for classes in Uni, the “for sale” section of the newspaper classifieds, the internet is just a more “efficient” version of those. Some fads can last multiple generations.
