Books where the main character is genuinely evil?

the wasp factory

Pic unrelated, outside maybe one or two dubiously honest phrases about his company, and the bit where he killed that guy, he was fine
I loved the way he spoke, just clear, honest communication, it's how I talk as well

Machiavelli is philosophy about manipulation. Marx is manipulation without philosophy.

Retards like you are the reason midwits started bombarding smart people with "media literacy" nonsense to deflect from critical thinking.

>dimwits itt thinking a character can be genuinely evil and not have ‘evil’ as a name prefix

instead of being a hater his assistant should have gone all in, when he scales up the company at the end, that dude would have been ballin' out.

Redditors think Gosling is literally them, meanwhile every film Jake Gyllenhaal is in is LITERALLY ME
I watched Donnie Darko and thought "my god, there I am, what am I doing on that TV"

How is she evil? It’s been a while since I read it, but isn’t she just very naive?
>>
>>25328088
Indirectly responsible for over 500 million deaths and counting, directly responsible for over 20 million. Darrow is just sci-fi Mao.
>>
>>25328256
She is an adulterous whore. Sounds pretty evil to me.
>>
>>25328256
She abandons her child, repeatedly, if nothing else. And no she's not merely naive. She makes choices.

What's with the resurgence in interest in this movie? Its one of my favorite movies of all time but I don't get the sudden interest.

Also, wtf is with the hate in the spiritual successor "Velvet Buzzsaw". I know normies can't into satire but surely people here could. Instead I'm pretty sure I'm one of like 10 people max outside the production crew/director that understood the movie isn't horror at all. It's just a giant attack on Hollywood/LA types which the director clearly despises.

It seems weird to me that the author went on to write a sci fi universe that is mostly utopian.
