I read some of the Great Gatsby, the narrator (whose name I don't believe has been said yet?) goes to visit his cousin and her husband on the rich side of the bay. Tom is a brick shithouse and has an annoying mistress who doesn't know how to time her phonecalls, Daisy strikes me as a flighty broad, and her friend a triflin ho.
