What's the last time you read a really long book?
Like a really really long book, like 400 pages or so

Last time I read a really really long book, that was 200 pages or so, was yesterday. It took me a very long time, it was huge, like this big. I know you can't see it but it was so long. Almost 250 pages maybe. Maybe even 225, that's two 2s and a 5. I'm never reading a book again.

I finished Gravity’s rainbow a bit over a week ago it was great. Now im reading 1q84

>physically read
Like a year ago I read a book on local plant identification cover to cover while taking notes that was about 540 something pages long. But to be fair there were a LOT of pictures.

I prefer to listen to narrative books. If it's something that doesn't require taking notes then I will always get the audiobook or use TTS because it's more immersive to me that way.
Last few very long books I listened to were pure slop though. Like litrpg web novel slop, that I listened to over the course of a week while at work that was 74 hours long and covered 300+ chapters and was till incomplete and not worth mentioning the name of.
Just something to keep my mind stimulated while I wageslaved away.

Last "real" book that was somewhat long that I listened to was about a month ago when I listened to the odyssey and the iliad combined into one audiobook production.

Long time ago
I think the last big one was Economy of Good and Evil by Tomas Sedlacek
Not a fiction book but a history of economics and philosophy (sounds enthralling right, but it was actually fascinating)
I don't remember the number of pages but it felt long.

I get the feeling context will just make that page more ridiculous instead of less.
