>>25347747>implying that SCP was ever goodAs soon as it fell into the hands of normalfags - that is to say, not /x/ schizos - it immediately started showing all the symptoms of atrociously bad writing: self-insert researchers that the plot will bend backwards to keep alive and portray as cool and smart, super-speshul skips that are dark, brooding and unbeatable (one particularly hilarious aspect of those that I thoroughly enjoyed - in the same way one enjoys The Room - is authors coming in to patch the obvious ways to defeat their shitty skips, invariably with Unspecified Bad Things™ that happened to people who tried), incestuous over-reliance on other skips, skips that are secretly about author's favorite piece of media, skips that are tales in paper-thin disguise, all that shit.As time went on, the only thing that changed was the rise of rabid support for troons and other mentally ill faggots, may they all be used as fertilizer one day.Oh and people trying to one-up each other with layers of meta-pata garbage that doesn't even bother making sense most of the time - but that's just the natural evolution of power creep stemming from authors trying to one-up each others' skips. There are still some interesting ideas here and there, though.
