the question doesn't make sense. these were both phases on the path to whatever we are now. you don't get to pick and choose your cultural framework. if you 'identify' as a romantic, you're just a postmodern subject pastiching their identity out of the scraps of a vanished past. it doesn't make sense to be pro or anti-enlightenment, any more than it is to be pro or anti-Roman empire; it happened, and we're living in its aftermath and figuring out where to go next.
