How to cope with slow reading and slow writing? Working 9-17 drains almost all the energies and in the evening I achieve to read and write only few pages in the good days

>>25361214>Working 9-17Where is this even a thing? I've never had a job or school that didn't start at 8.
im guessing your parents didn't want to buy it for you
Stop trying to reach a certain destination by a certain time. You are mortal and you are going to die, basically like... tomorrow. Life is very short my friend. If you are not reading for the pleasure of your soul then you're just puffing your chest out and buckling up for the long earthen road to some ephemeral standard of success you will certainly discover (even in the highly unlikely event of obtaining it) is nothing like you had hoped and merely leads to terrible disappointment when you realize your life-energy has been wasted on preparing for a life that never was instead of a death that certainly will be. Feed your soul brother. Read slow. Read the same page over and over. Memorize a single poem by Emily Dickinson, or William Blake, and adopt it, hold it, carry it in your heart, instead of bumbling through fifty pages to sound clever. Get your priorities in order.

>>25361214God I hate this fucking world so much sometimes. I feel you OP. I have no advice other than buckle down and try as hard as you fucking can to keep the world from beating the soul out of you because it will if you let it
Wagie problems.

>>25361214I read during commute on the bus or subway from my phone. Better than nothing

>>25362076These are wise words, thanks. But of course one has also to dream a little bit, and dreams need to be constructed brick by brick. So.. maybe patience is the key
