>boomers writers were losing their shit about deracinated urban living when it looked like this with nothing but white people in it

They had no idea how good they had it

Why do they try to gaslight people into thinking multiculturalism was the standard in the past? But anyway good job derailing the thread because you blew a fuse seeing the term "white"
>>
>>25361889
do you have a bunch of magazine advertisements from the 50s trying to get people to buy shaving cream or whatever saved too? Can you show me one of those with a wistful message like "Things used to be so simple" or similar? those kinds of posts are better, I think

Boomers were 5 that year.
The Silent Generation, the one you are actually refering to, was still schizoposting during the last remnants of Spiritualism, they didn't care about the real world since they got ass blasted by the war and were trying to cope with all the people that lost their lives during the two wars.
Baby Boomers were seething at the fact that they all became wageslaves, like picrel. No adventure, no beauty, just slogging through monotonous work hours, with, on the long term, no end in sight (picrel). They hated that homogeneity, from their work, to their customs, to their parent's ideology. Everything was so rudimentary (since the previous generation lost hope in the real world), that the Boomers were compelled to find anything that was vibrant: nature, jeets (buddhism), psychedelics...

So obvious that this guy is just talking about OP being gay for romanticizing boomer era London because it was white, but everybody for some reason can't understand that and thinks he was literally contesting that London used to be white. You are all retarded apes.

what was the amazing opportunity they missed out on, shitty industrial work?

so like the rest of mankind from the dawn of civlisation until now ? 90% or more of mankind were always wageslaving back in the days, only 5% or less had "fun" aka exploration, fighting, seeing the World etc while the other 5% were rich fags having orgies and cocaine
>>
>>25362393
Thinking a white city isn’t desirable is even more retarded than thinking London wasn’t white
>>
>>25362374
OP clearly just means older generations when he says boomer you autist
>>
>>25362440
>what was the amazing opportunity they missed out on, shitty industrial work?
That's cattle mentality, anon. An NPC dreams of a stable job, an edgelord dreams of spiritual awakening.
>>25362724
>so like the rest of mankind from the dawn of civlisation until now
No, it isn't something that happens always. There are periods of time when people want order rather than chaos. Like I said, 1940s were very formal, very rigid.
The Boomers wanted to experiment and defy expectations.
>>25362760
>OP clearly just means older generations when he says boomer you autist
And you don't find it retarded to squeeze the 20th century London into "there ain't no blacks 'ere"? If he loved the "older generations" so much he wouldn't have such milquetoast takes.
>>
>>25362799

the lives of the "older generations" so much*

Solution: dictionary

Because you need to agree what words mean in order to achieve a common understanding. That's why this website tells people to kill themselves, when they really want a kiss. If you don't know what it all means, be silent, work through the list of definitions, and do your homework. Then it's a bit more comprehendable.
>>
>>25362888
I think a history book is more useful than a dictionary in this case.
Boomers, as OP pointed out, were a rowdy bunch. The Silent Generation, wasn't. They didn't chimp out because of city life.
OP should have used some other picture to prove his point, like picrel. If you don't know how much society evolved over the span of 20 years, of course you'd think it's ok to lump the two generations together. But it's obvious that the changes were too radical to do that.

Truth be told, I think everyone would wanna live in OP's picture. I don't think everyone would wanna live in picrel.

No, it's more
>at least our problems are our own
Britain after the war was ravaged and had rations and military service for years after, but the racial and cultural homogeneity allowed everyone to cope.
Look at Britain now, even the most anti-racist normoid liberal will despise yet another Turkish Barbers opening or yet another local job going to someone who has a tenuous grasp on the language.
It goes both ways, such as in previously colonised territories. Yes, they have problems but at least their problems are not coming from an enclave of foreigners that impose a way of life on them.
Different races/cultures may not actively impose a way of life on the native populace but their presence passively creates a zero trust way of life with less public goodwill. It's just an observable fact at this point. Go outside.

Complete projection and wishful thinking.

It‘s somewhat ambiguous but the point I think is being made (or at least a correct one which could reasonably be extracted from those posts) is that picking nearly the precise moment before commonwealth and labor-based immigration began implicitly reveals that something was inherently deeply sick below the surface to allow it.
