So Jung basically discovered that the DnD alignment chart maps all of universal psychology everywhere in the universe? So we have good, neutral and evilWhy is neutral not talked about in... everything? Why is the knowledge that we're all basically cartoon characters in a video game so taboo and buried in academia and in the public world?
there is no Jung with Peterson
>>25362183That shit was probably inspired by Jung. All those nerds loved Joseph Campbell and he was.
>>25362229>>25362183There is no connection between Jung and the invention of the D&D alignment chart. You can look up Appendix N for all of the things that actually inspired early D&D what influenced it. No need for speculation or making things up.
>>25362183If by this you mean the MBTI, it’s not Jung’s system but inspired by his ideas. Personality tests are only as useful as they are predictive and MBTI is not good as far as consistency of results or being predictive by type. There’s actually no personality test that is great, but simpler versions like Big5 have far better results. There’s also a cottage industry of various psych consultants and random MBAs who sit around all day and come up with colour systems and tarot card classifications to sell to companies as dead accurate predictors of people wot for making your company work like a greased engine don’tchaknow. Frankly I think Jung would have taken a steamy turd on how the MBTI is being used. His whole thing is about the individuation process and your development as a human being, and as far as symbols and personality types can help you understand that, it is good. As a human alignment chart or business tool neither is conductive to personal development at all. If you really want to learn about people being cartoon characters you should instead read up on neuropsychology and twin studies, showing both genetics being an incredible predictor of everything from intelligence to behavior, to results that suggest your “choices” are in fact driven by impulses that happen before you can even articulate a reasoning for action (narrative thought is basically always a post hoc construction). THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER
>>25362402Aren't archetypes essentially just stereotypes, and therefore "cartoon characters"?Pretty much the entirety of Jung is esoteric stereotypes, AKA divine cartoon characters or something.
>>25362402MBTI builds on Jung's own psychological types in a way that is qualitatively rich and accurate if you take the ACTUAL test which includes a 60 minute consultation with a typologist, not a fucking online quiz. Big 5 is absolute dogshit that tells you nothing useful. It's not like anybody can survive marketeers and faggots warping good theory into something disgraceful. Jung himself can't survive that let alone Myers-Briggs.
>>25362183Im retarded, can someone help me understand the pic. Why are words and concepts not aligning. Be gentle please.
>>25362183I mistrust all systematizers and avoid them. The will to a system is a lack of integrity
>>25362183Chaotic Good isn't real. It is a lie that people tell themselves.
