Any non-fiction books about becoming a social butterfly? Success in meeting people?
>>
Almost all of them are bollocks. It really comes down to having a strong, genuine personality and getting lots of practice.

You can't be a social butterfly by reading a book.
You have to talk to people, you have to be present. You have to learn to take rejections and awkwardness of life. It's all practice, practice, practice.

OK, perhaps not entirely through reading, but there has been invaluable pieces of advice I have learnt through books, like; putting extra effort into listening, being more emotionally vulnerable to endear yourself to people and giving yourself time to pause and think before responding immediately.
Things of that nature.

these are useless pieces of advice for the ultra introverted. the issue is how to GET THEM to talk to people in the first place.

You should honestly not bother.

I understand the sentiment, but I'd like to try before saying sour grapes.
