Jangling melancholic sounds of Balfa and his kin are tinny on cheap phone speakers loud enough to rattle the silverware haphazardly cast astride the heavenly-hot dripping porcine carcass-part. Wiry black redglinting fur cross of Hibernia and Hispania drips orange oil onto a stomach lined with the same fur nestled beneath mammaries held and beheld by no woman yet or likely ever. Steaming torn fibrous tender strands stand tense at the point of penultimate rupture caught in an inevitable contest of tension and compression of ivory stones which it will not survive. Smokey pepper rosemary brown sugar molasses paprika caramelized red brown inner skin rendered lard gray fruit ringed in pinkred. Fractal incarnations of the glory envy of which for Abel was slaughtered. Vessels of gossamer crystal Alum consecrated to the nectar of Sumeria, mostly drained, inscribe a primitive circlet about the plated scraps. Crickets sing to what Gods they know not. Sweat beads and drips and beads again on a brow red as the boxer-briefs which hide the shame of the first mother. It is a quarter past midnight. The window AC unit rumbles along.

I guess I can see it. Like I said, your writing is a lot more abstract. Nabokov was obviously ornate and flowery but his writing was concrete, everything worked toward painting an image or developing the world.

Tranny bullshit is so fucking dumb. I am "friends" with a few trannies, or at least mildly associate with them, and I basically have to treat them like special needs students, or toddlers. I'm not gonna compare them to Downs Syndrome people because those can actually be pretty decently smart. But trannies are just retarded. I feel like I have to put my hands on my knees and bend over to console them, "Yes, sure, sure, of course you're really a woman."

A lot of trannies have the outward impression of being pretty smart, but I keep finding myself questioning their intelligence because they allowed themselves to be hoodwinked by what seems to me such obvious falsehoods.

These videos are possibly GenAI deepfakes and are NOT accurate depictions of how American life is. I suspect you are a troll intentionally spreading misinformation. If you have citations for counter evidence I would LOVE to see them. If you don't- that's a tacit admission of guilt, and I will recommend to the moderators of this subreddit that you are banned. Goethe's Works, Chronologically arranged, we see this above all things: A mind working itself into clearer and clearer freedom; gaining a more and more perfect dominion of its world. The pestilential fever of Skepticism runs through its stages: but happily it ends and disappears at the last stage, not in death, not in chronic malady (the commonest) way, but in clearer, henceforth invulnerable health.

I like constructing stories, but I'm not good at telling or even thinking of personal stories. For example, whenever I'm in a relationship, and my gf asks me to tell me a story from my life, I generally got nada. If someone wanted me to tell some stories about my mother or father, again, I'd have nothing.

Since Jan. 2025, I've woken up every single day and pursued self-improvement as much as humanly possible. The result, after 1.5 years? No change. Or rather, I have a massive number of not-even-half-finished projects, and skills that I improved to some degree. To even work on these projects at all places an extraordinary burden on me, with side effects of insomnia, stomach problems, hair falling out, and more. Despite this all, I haven't managed to work more than 2 weeks in a month, and on average, my productive # of days is closer to 7. I've actually developed circulation problems because I genuinely can't focus on my work unless I keep a huge amount of muscles tensed to help myself focus, and end up with super cold feet.

I wish we as a society could be more honest about what we know vs/ what we don't know. So many times, if you're a person with an intellectual bent, you'll realize that when society decides it collectively really wants to know something, it will just latch onto the first theory someone comes up with and decides that this is correct, even when the world around it repeatedly proves it wrong. No wonder myths were the first science. You probably had one guy who was like, huh, I've been in the forest all my life and have yet to see a single nymph. So I guess we're all just pretending that nymphs are real, because right now the myths are all we have, so we'd rather believe in something obviously incorrect than to admit to ourselves that we just don't know something.

I've been subconsciously drifting to the left for the past few years, but my internal reasoning for this has been opaque and scattered to me. I'm still culturally homophobic and believe in race science, but I'm beginning to see the right more and more as a dangerous nihilistic force led by charlatans. Reading about Trump's corruption in the NYT this morning, how he's enriched himself via crypto to the tune of billions using his presidential prestige, I just thought: damn, I wish we had Obama back.

you know once my aunt dragged me to the casino and said little boys have good fortune, but I wasn't that little, so she only showed me where the casino bathroom is, and I went there with my needs and the door said to give it coins and I didn't have them because my aunt only has paper cash so I went to the blackjack table and a man was sitting there reading a book, and when I asked him why he doesn't play blackjack he said he didn't have enough coins because he lost them all and so I knew, this man had gone to the bathroom one too many times to have lost so many coins and I told him this freudian realization and he looked at me, taking my hand into his hand, and told me to go fuck myself because his coins went to the poker loss. And I didn't know you could lose coins that way so I went back to my aunt and told her this story and she said that people were always cashing and outcashing to keep life interesting and then told me I was going to do the same but.. I just wanted to use the bathroom. I never saw that man again.

My grandmother used to bring me and my brother to the casino with her all the time. We would spend hours in the arcade while she played blackjack or whatever. I remember one time, we were there so late the arcade had closed, and my grandmother left my bother and me on some bench for so long, the casino employees got security involved, escorted the three of us from the casino, and banned my grandmother for a symbolic three days.

Not as metaphysical as your story, sadly.

You're lucky I can't find the old racial hierarchy tree illustration where Italians are near the bottom with the Irish, Chinese and blacks.
>>
>Which leads me to add one Remark: That the Number of purely white People in the World is proportionably very small. All Africa is black or tawny. Asia chiefly tawny. America (exclusive of the new Comers) wholly so. And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call a swarthy Complexion; as are the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth. I could wish their Numbers were increased. And while we are, as I may call it, Scouring our Planet, by clearing America of Woods, and so making this Side of our Globe reflect a brighter Light to the Eyes of Inhabitants in Mars or Venus, why should we in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken its People? why increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red? But perhaps I am partial to the Compexion of my Country, for such Kind of Partiality is natural to Mankind.

Remember when playing guitar solos with the pentatonic scale over Em G C D-and then you even learned to throw in the B7 for some stank-was an entire galaxy of swirling, colorful nebulae and burning constellations; worlds coming into being and then torn asunder in fleeting moments of melting fury? Supernovae exploding in reckless abandonment-thought and reason forsaken, collapsing in on their own gravity. Bound to swallow everything that shines and burns and screams whole into the darkness implacable.

Yeah I really just wanna start smoking weed again. The last 3 months of sobreity have been absolute dogshit

How did liberals become Fox News Boomers? There are a couple of guys at my job who have conversations that are basically the same paranoid hyperventilations that normie conservatives used to have about Obama. "He's going to run for a third term, he's a fascist, after he leaves office he's going to secretly stay in power." It's just bizarre to me to see "smart" people say the exact same conspiratorial stuff with the exact same cadences, just flipped to be anti-Trump instead of anti-Obama.

>uniquely disdainful of the rule of law
If you actually think this you are beyond retarded. Enron, FDR, Lincoln, MacArthur's treatment of the bonus army, all the shit Obama did with executive orders, all obvious counterexamples. Not to mention the way government contractors *literally" treat the bill of rights as a joke.

The left obsesses over Trump's disdain for the rule of law because he's the first person since the first Roosevelt maybe to corrode the rule of law *in a way not aligned with their vision*. In the dialect of anyone but right wingers (true independents/moderates are now considered right wing) "rule of law" means "rule of Leftist Secular Religion". Trump also doesn't try to hide it at all, and indulges, which I admit is repulsive.
>>
>>25378032
Actually I don't think Teddy corroded anything about the rule of law, my mistake.
>>
>>25378032
Anon, I'm conservative. Yes, past Presidents exceeded the traditional bounds of law during certain emergencies and for specific policies. Trump does not even care about the law to begin with. It does not factor into his thinking, his desires, his whims.

What is it with you Trump apologists and your whataboutisms and disingenuous comparisons? If you don't think Trump has gone further than anyone ever in many of these areas, namely corruption and persecution of political enemies, then I can't help you.

Sorry if that was rude and combative, but you seem smart, so I really don't understand how you don't see this. The man tried to decertify an election!

>>
>>25378032
NTA but why are you skeptical of "uniquely disdainful of the rule of law" when the counterargument to your skepticism is his relentless, flagrant corruption? I didn't vote in '24 so I guess I don't really have a dog in this fight, but the man literally memed a shitcoin and then rugpulled it. I get where you're coming from, presidents violate the rule of law all the time, all parties do it, it's the nature of the beast called power, but I legitimately don't get why you don't see Trump is uniquely disdainful. The man openly sells pardons lmfao

And besides if you're a conservative, which "true" conservatism wasn't even what the US was founded upon, you'd realize the Constitution is a dead letter now. We're really no different than other dictatorial countries who conveniently ignore rule of law for efficiency (or inefficiency, in the case of Trump) but since a lot of people cut from your cloth seem to have a bit of an affinity for these governments you'd think you'd support him.

I suppose my point is I think there is a substantial difference between bending or exceeding the law in rare, debatably justified circumstances and flagrantly treating laws like toilet paper -- or worse, solely as a mechanism to persecute one's political enemies, that doesn't apply to your side at all. It's like those people who try and say the US/the West and Russia and China are all the same just because the US/the West 'only' follows the law 99% of the time instead of 100%, so now they're hypocrites and it's all the same and none of it matters anymore. Such bullshit.

Trump has not started a civil war nor suspended habeas corpus. You are conflating publicity and severity.
>THAT WAS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Maybe, but see my previous point: This argument excuses disdain for the rule of law because it aligns with the ideology of the arguer.

>The man tried to decertify an election!
How is this worse than raping the fourth amendment? I understand that it's more than just a procedural error, but in a world where elections and culture are *engineered* so that the actual opinions of the people can never be meaningfully represented I don't see how this is, in spirit, unprecedented. I am a Republican in both affiliation and ideals but you cannot describe the post 1960s American political system as anything but cyclical rape of the Constitution by anti-American American oligarchs. With some good things, I'm glad leftist judges expanded 1st amendment protection.

I've been reading stuff from the founding fathers and it's really sad how almost everything they thought was good and important has been thrown away. It feels like america died with WW1 as Europe did, just in a different way. I never thought anything would make me adopt the libtard idea of "the world is so bad it's immoral to have kids" but seeing centralized surveillance equipment plastered EVERYWHERE in my town has made me give up. I still support the US, I'm thinking of joining the air force if we get into a conflict with china, if that would positively contribute but we're on the path to totalitarianism, and no one cares and industry and government are being used to cow those few opposed into submission. So I give up, except for masturbatory arguments on the Internet I guess.

There are no "good guys", no one with any hope of gaining power is procedurally patriotic, but trump makes communists scream and shit themselves and shut down the CRS which is infinitely more than anyone else has done for actual-america in decades.

I have a new job that focuses on legal writing. I have been proud of my output thus far, but I turned in an assignment yesterday I felt unconfident about. My reviewer came to me today to tell me I did such a great job. I laughed and explained I did not expect that. Trauma Healing Manifesto
Trauma symptoms include overwhelming senses of hopelessness or defeat, feeling excessively shy, persistent low self-esteem and low moods, feeling a lack of energy often, feeling "dead" inside, among many other symptoms.
Trauma healing requires letting the body complete it's physiological responses that return the body towards equilibrium. There is a natural movements towards resolving trauma but it is often interrupted by our thoughts and feelings about the sensations that arise.
The most success I have had is with "doing nothing" as best as I can, that is to say just sitting or laying there in a quiet and comfortable environment. I try my best to do nothing and I notice sensations arising inside my body. Previously I would really try to focus on the sensations, but that was me trying to make something happen which interferes with the healing. Pleasurable or relaxing sensations are a sign of deepening your relaxation and returning to equilibrium.
