What characteristics do you associate with heroism?

I see a hero as someone who has a strong sense of right and wrong, and stands by their principles even if people think they are insane.
>>
Someone who stands against evil not only for themselves but also for their people, whose actions and words inspire all around them to join their cause. Someone who shines as a beacon of light and hope for the world both while alive and long after their passing. Someone like Hitler.

Doing the right (aka virtuous) thing even when it's difficult, and being competent enough and virtuous enough to get good results in bad situations.

Y'all are fucking dumbasses. A hero is just someone that improves the lives of the people around them. Their personal ethics, hardships, and motives are irrelevant. They could literally just be a wealthy sociopath that just wants to work out their childhood traumas by inflicting pain on others, but if they're helping people, that's all that matters.

Like Batman.

An hero is someone who sacrifices himself for his people. Being an hero is relative, for example achilles was an hero for acheans, but a villain for the trojans
