Darwin literally ruined science and the theory of evolution has so many holes it might be regarded as a somewhat plausible guess, though misdirected.
Theory of evolution: the 9/11 for actual retards.
>>25395737>Signature in the cellWhats that one about? Love me some genetics
>>25395752Also to answer your question, besides random philosophy stuff, I mainly read science papers these days

>>25395759>insecure retard acts out due to his insecurity Heh, many such cases
>>25395737The Last Superstition by Edward Feser. I picked it as a simple introduction into christian metaphysics. It does a solid job for that, I guess. I plan to read more from him.

>>25395737Im halfway through the communist manifesto, I just finished the part where Marx says the bourgeoisie are perverts and fuck each other's wives. I did not expect that lol.
Been reading Ghost Wars by Steve Coll since December.
>>25395742whence doth this passage depart?
>>25395737Unfortunately I can’t recommend anything here. Cline’s book 1177BC is the book you want to read instead. The big history book is too shallow to give anything. Behold A Pale Horse is interesting because it’s proto-Alex Jones, sometimes literally the same points. It’s just really sloppy and doesn’t care that much about what it says (literally “maybe this book is a psyop too haha”).
>>25395737Paperback Bible pilled
>>25395978>Behold A Pale HorseBeen looking for an unexpurgated copy of this for years.
>>25395980Hey, I like my paperback Oxford World Classics KJV Bible :] It's an absolute brick, but I like it :]
The Aeneid.
I finished Volume 2 last year and Volume 1 about 8 years ago.About 750 pages in. The end is drawing nigh for the confederacy. And with it the last hopes of saving Anne Frank from her fate.
>>25395737
>>25395990NTA but I also own and am happy with the Oxford KJV
>>25395739Retarded people tend to have more sex on average.
>>25395764I want that sooner or later but things keep coming up. Right now I'm finishing up Truth: A History And Guide For The Perplexed by Felipe-Fernandez Armesto and not sure what I'm gonna broach next. I also started The Ottoman Endgame by Sean McMeekin the other day.
>>25395737Speaking of the Bible, I’m actually reading through this right now. I downloaded some free version on my kindle that should be easy enough to find if you have one.
>>25396918Also l, whatever you do make sure you don’t pay for it. I just googled the author and now I’m pretty sure he doesn’t exist and an AI translated all these ancient texts to English, or the publisher fed existing translations in the public domain into an LLM with a modernizing prompt.

Modalities - Ruth Barcan MarcusInquiries into Truth & Interpretation - Donald Davidson (i have been reading these and other essays for almost 4 years now)Gotta start reading the Scripture again, I bought the new Ignatius Study Bible, but I have not really started yet. Have a good Sunday, my brother!
Just started this today. Insanely comfy so far.
>>25397757>Gotta start reading the Scripture againMe too. I've gotta finish my current read-thru of the Gospels (on Luke at the moment).
>>25397771I love Luke, it is the most beautiful gospel to read for children. My kiddies love the story of the babies having parties in the womb or the many similes. I love how he portrays Mary as a true philosopher. She is the ancilla to the lord, just like philosophy is the ancilla to theology. Everyone was in wonder, but she kept the words in her heart and dwelled upon them.I also love the book of Acts.
>>25395739Yeah I used to make that joke too when I was 12... most of the contents of the bible are based on historical truths but you'de never know that because you are a larper
>>25397786Luke was always my favorite gospel as a child. As an adult I finally realize how great John is, but Luke is definitely the comfiest.
grew up watching the film on VHS and loved it. found out a while back tat the actual guy wrote memoirs. thought id check it out since I loved the film, love memoirs, and its pretty short
>>25397771I want to read Judges and Isaiah again
>>25395737Etymology of etymology and other etymologiesIt’s about etymology
I’m debating with myself whether or not to just skip through all of this tedious cataloging of flora, fauna, and geography that it begins with. God bless him for doing all this work and providing all of this information to people back in the day, but it just seems like a waste of my time. I really don’t want to get in the habit of skipping entire sections of primary sources though. I’ve certainly pushed through a lot worse.
>>25399960It was worth reading, he had lots of cool stuff to say about wooly mammoths
Bomp
>>25399960>>25400987Apparently Indian women were stronger than White women and Indian men were weaker than White men because Indians forced their women to do all the hard labor. Interesting
On the one hand, this has a lot of interesting points (at least for someone new into memetics)On the other, the guy clearly has a bone to pick with religion and traditional role models and all that shit, which is fine, but it's a little obnoxious. Too many chapters read like redundant examples.
>>25403646You'd be better off reading Gad Saad.
