Just finished reading this...it was OK I guess.The Taken are glorified jobbers and yandere sauron blueballing the mc is getting kinda old.Marron Shed's arc was kino.Gonna read the third tho.

Second book was the only real good one. He continually retcons shit throughout the books which pissed me off but his writing style did improve as the books went on.I hated the last couple books because the villain does the dumbest shit imaginable instead of just winning when they had the chances

I liked the Black Company books. I like seeing the protagonists plot and scheme. Blade pretending to betray the heroes was a really fun twist.
