Do you read more than one book at a time? Not simultaneously of course like this gentleman. You know what I mean.
>>25404368I usually juggle two books. Something serious (classic/philosophy/biography) and some sort of slop (fantasy/science fiction/light novel).
>>25404368No, I don't. I've tried it before and it just causes me to lose interest in one book and eventually drop it. Now, I'll keep multiple series on the go at the same time, but I really try not to swap over mid-book.
>>25404368i have about 100 books started that i cycle through depending on my whims
Yeah I usually have an audiobook for falling asleep and commuting on the subway. And then a regular book for everything else. Sometimes it's tricky because you want the book to work for the medium you're consuming it with. The best audiobooks are ones that you don't mind hearing a chapter a few times, because I'll fall asleep and then start over a ways back while commuting, and your memories become ingrained with certain sentences because I will hear a line and remember the flight of stairs or block I was walking on as I heard it the first time. I think audiobooks can have chapters that are almost like songs or albums that you go back to and enjoy. I really love the first few chapters of Ulysses being read to me, doesn't get old.

What's the difference between reading a book and then browsing this or any other site between chapters? It's still juggling reading. People who claim they can't read multiple books at one time are fake and gay

>>25404368Of course. I can't just read one at a time. I read from different genres. I am currently reading Clausewitz's "On War" while also reading Xenophon's "Persian Expedition" and Morell's "First Blood".
