GRRM has no emotional core to his writing, he was just setting up pieces on a diorama and then having them flash, like some warhammer player. That’s why he has no desire to finish. There’s no emotional catharsis in finishing for him. There’s no grand message or theme he was relating. It was just very elegantly and intricately made slop. No soul in it. No point in finishing in now that he got his payday and a finale that’s anything but perfect will get him even more hatred
