The entire lead up of the chapter is Jolenta isolating Severian, bragging about how she can seduce anyone she wants, even straight up says she knows Severian wants her, gets him alone into the riverboat or whatever, and then goes "teehee I'm gonna have to sleep sooo long". And then just lays there as Severian seemingly fucks her.How is this rape, like at all? Even if you believe Severian is an unreliable narrator, you would think there would be one iota of Jolenta trying to stop or protest. But no, she basically orchestrates the entire thing.
