Does Christ ever talk about belief? Or does he simply *know*? He has to know, right? Because if he didn't, it wouldn't really make sense, but if he does, then it kind of detracts from the acts of faith he does. What do we think? Walking around in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights doesn't have the same feeling if he knows beyond a shadow of doubt that God is watching over him... Then again, how can it be possible for him not to know?
I have to wonder if there's a strange tension here, between His Human Nature and His Divine Nature.We'll of course never know what it feels like to be Jesus. But I do wonder if it felt like a see-saw, a bit, back and forth, sometimes, between the Man and the God. Not always aligned, but always together.
