Been interested in reading it since I played all three games recently. I just want living in the Metro fleshed out more.

It's why the narrative is so meandering; plot threads and elements are introduced, but never explained and forgotten about a few chapters later depending on the mood of the group. It's impressive that instead of being a total mess the inclusion of all of these vague plot elements just adds to the scale and mystery of the metro, makes it worth reading just for that feeling alone. I think the english translation was also funded by donations.

Its one of the rare books ive ever read. Was prolly like 17 at the time. Enjoyed it, but the sequels are a bit meh
ive read it when i was like 13-14 and enjoyed it but at that time my media literacy was zero so idk if i would like it now
