>omg I love literature too anon. Clarice Lispector, Virginia Woolf, Donna Tart, Anais Nin, Sylvia Plath, Sally Rooney, the list goes on.How do you respond to such a foid?
Not bad, except Sylvia Plath and Sally Rooney.
>>25422964Lispector is great, even brilliant. Haven't read the rest, I just can't get over Woolf's dogshit take on Ulysses.
>>25422964I penetrate her and fill her with baby batter until any silly little ideas have been completely erased from her dumb foid brain.
Is this what happens when you don't fuck for decades and don't have money for an escort either?
>>25422964Why no Patricia Highsmith?
I read the Jack Reacher and Harry Bosch novels. You should try them out. They're good crime mysteries and the protagonists are really smart.
>Dude that's so chill, have you read Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut, Roberto Bolaño, Larry McMurtry, Thomas Pynchon, and Denis Johnson?
>>25422964>cool, i exclusively read wodehouse
Not bad, except Donna Tartt and Sally Rooney.

>omg I love literature too anon. Simone Weil, Cristina Campo, Karoline von Günderode, Catherine Pozzi, Unica Zürn, H.D., the list goes on.How do you respond?
>>25422964You like a lot of women authors huh? I haven't read many of them myself
>>25422964Been reading a lot of Thomas Mann lately
Nice, I liked Intermezzo. Would you like to sleep with me?

>>25422964I need a bitch that look like this with a crazy bush.

>>25422975lots of great writers of novels end up writing shitty reviews, get over it

>>25422964uuuuh… yeah, I uuuhhm… I like to read uuhm… *spills spaghetti* I-I-I’m s-so s-s-sorry!and then I start crying and I run away
>>25423209You're weird, man. >>25423176As soon as the "discourse" brings back topics like women having bushes, follower-mentality types like you start parroting shit like this. Think for yourself for once. >>25423311This is the only acceptable response.
>>25423219It wasn't even a review, it was a note in her diary that she then later contradicted, saying she read more of Ulysses and appreciated it much more.
>>25422964>Sorry, I'm taken, honey
>>25423372I didn't specifically say it was, probably because I knew some pedantic autism was incoming
>>25423386Whatever
something about the name 'Clarice Lispector' is really viscerally unpleasant to me
>>25422964Shes very cute. That combined with the fact that she has an interest in literature, regardless of whether or not I like her taste, makes her wife mateiral.
>>25422995I'm reading the Jeeves short stories now. It's very Agatha Christie-like. My brain keeps waiting for a murder to happen. It's so weird. Now I wonder if Poirot novels have ruined all of the other british novels to me too.
>>25423331I'll bend you over too.
Lispector is a great writer. Her works are hardly pleasant to go through, but that's the best part of it. Her writing style and her themes make Clarice's books feel like literary femdom. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about the shit you see on TikTok and Twitter. It's no "goth dommy mummy" or "gentle femdom" nonsense. Her books read like she's outright abusing you with a bored, scornful expression, and you're letting her do it because she's hot. Clarice gives you a very rough, unpleasant handjob, hurtfully hitting your scrotum when she strokes down, and when you complain about it she just acts annoyed and says "Do you want to get up and leave? No? Then stop being crybaby." before proceeding to verbally abuse you as she continues. She doesn't care about you enjoyment. In fact, she feels great when you squirm. She'll tell the story she wants and do it at her own pace, and at the end of it she'll make you thank her for it. Reading a book by Lispector feels like eating a meal that has just been spat on. I love her.But answering your question, I'd ask her if she likes Sigrid Undset.
>>25423518H-hot...
>Why yes I loved Ada, Mason & Dixon, The Phenomenology of Spirit, Deltora Quest, and the bible! How did you know?
>>25422986You missed out on DFW, critical miss
>>25423394Utterly revolting surname
>>25423518I see your Sigrid Undset and I will raise you a Tove Ditlevsen
>>25422964>cool, I love lispector, tart and nin too.especially nin, if you know what i mean ;)
>>25422964>arthoe posting in 2026anon they went extinct like 6 years ago
>>25423767And we never stopped mourning this loss.
>>25422975>Lispector is great, even brilliant.Yes. I refuse to care that arthoes namedrop her now. She's still good irrespective of all that.
>>25423394Smells like wet pussy to me
>>25423700I'll add her to my reading list. Thank you.>>25423394>>25423690One of the first reviews she got referred to her as a "writer of unpleasant name, certainly a pseudonym". She recalled this story at least a couple of times and has no idea of where her name came from either. She hyptothesised that it must've originally been a completely different, far more Slavic surname that progressively lost letters and syllabes until it became what it did.
>>25423690Lisp inspector or lip section comes to mind
>>25424562oh nvm, she is an ukrainian jewess, thus the wacky name
>>25422976This.
I would listen, because that’s what no one else did (unironically)
>>25422964First, extremely extremely cute, would set my heart a-flutter. Second, I also love those writers except Tartt but that's because I've never read Tartt. I would probably respond by saying "wow me too" or something similar and then I wouldn't know what to say next because she's so damn cute.

Smash her face repeatedly into the mirror until she's bled out to my satisfaction.
>>25423331>As soon as the "discourse" brings back topics like women having bushI've been a bush aficionado longer than you've been breathing you little shit. You were most likely shit out the ass of a shaved whore.

>>25423219It's so weird to me how much /lit/izens take the opinions of writers as gospel.>Nabokov said he doesn't like it, I like Nabokov, so it must be bad>Woolf didn't like something that I like, therefor Woolf must be badImagine developing your own taste
>>25422975>dogshit take on UlyssesCriticizing that garbage is the only correct response.
>>25422964I would tell her about the books I like and then suggest we swap our favourites.I don't like Anais Nin and I haven't read Sally Rooney but the rest are pretty good.
>>25422964How do you know if a girl is flirting with you versus talking? The books my sister reads are self-help, short stories, and anything with rape/abduction/unrequited love. Your statement seems unlikely for the average girl.
>>25422964>that’s awesome, I’m partial to murakami or Richard Yates. which book are you reading now?
>>25422964i miss the mid-2010s arthoe. today's zoomer equivalents are short and pudgy and dress like they're bassists in a numetal band
Great, I’ll just read all those and then get a gf. Where do I begin?
>>25425791You'll probably want to kill yourself not long after getting started so start by picking the method that you prefer and having it on standby. If you want to increase your chances of making it all the way through safe Sylvia Plath for last.
I can make peace with the feminist bs, dressing like she’s going to get a chick drunk and forcibly scissor them I cannot overlook though

>>25426676Not even as little, actually pic is female-to-male
>>25424846thats good, i should also ask her that, let me write that down. what else you got?
>Personally I enjoy the works of Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Foucault and Camus
I read exclusively history so I have absolutely nothing in common with any female readers.
>>25424642Reminds me of the final issues of invincible, awful artwork
