>Once the final emotional trace is efface, what solely remains of thinking is absolute tautology
>powerless repetition of what is already familiar

This in a way describes the exact mechanism of how these things work. They take existing data and information and reassemble it to achieve a desired instrumentalized end assembled from separate parts. All it ultimately does is calculate the statistical probability of the next word, so everything is standardized and repeating something in the chain of data. Our imagination and cognitive capacity for creation slowly usurped by these models, and it is only capable of reproducing its input.

The dialectic outlined
>Synthetic assemblage of data into a patchwork whole flood the internet.
>The output feels plausible because it is built from coherent human data, but it is fundamentally synthetic and disembodied from any signifier or conscious thought. It is a simulation.
>Eventually, as AI-generated text is fed back into AI training models in an infinite feedback loop, the very concept of objective truth or human intent becomes completely blurred, a la Baudrillard

yeah the mechanisms for standardization of thought and behavior in early 20th century cultural industry and production modes are replicated on a vaster and more efficient scale as technology advances, for this tech is used by the same industry and class for the same ends

The only reason there’s so much seething about AI is because it’s the first automation that affects the office class. Nobody gave af when hicks lost their job to robots.

Also it makes artists less prominent and those narcissistic fucks hate not being the center of attention.
>>
>>25424588
>AI is just a tool, it's like hating computers
Your line of thinking relies on an idealised and delusionally optimistic view of human nature. Computers and the internet did not elevate the culture, did not enhance our education, did not improve our lives, they actually destroyed what it meant to be human and transformed everybody into doomscrolling zombies. Sure they're "just a tool" if "used properly" but it's basically impossible to "use properly" when it affects every facet of society and life.
>>
>>25424827
>Also it makes artists less prominent
Art and media institutions have been in a leftist stranglehold for decades now and they’re threatened by people not of their worldview being able to create and produce art and media. This is the underlying motivation for much of the leftist media-adjacent seethe specifically.

I wouldn't really call it art.
