It's an interesting design challenge. There are many good reasons for adding in a blank page, and these reasons are usually obvious or intuitive or, if nothing else, people at least know it's a thing.

Yet it still feels like something is wrong when you encounter a blank page. I guess this blurb is really the only way to fix the problem, but it feels so inelegant

there is literally no reason to print "This page intentionally left blank" on it except pure narcissism. I can see that the page has been left blank. I do not give a fuck if it is intentional or not. These god damn printers are so insanely egotistical they can't have you wondering for a second whether they made a mistake.
