Depression has mellowed me out and thus I have no real personality, I don't feel emotions as deeply (other than sadness sometimes), I have no real desires or goals. So when I read emotional poetry that is supposed to be beautiful or horrifying I don't feel it. I don't get it. Everything reads like you would read dry prose. I just read it to finish it.
i think thats pretty normali found myself deeply depressed and then trying to force myself through one "classic" or another and hating my lifei ended up finding just absolute garbage to read, webnovels and the like, and when i managed to get out of my depressive episode, i found that i quite enjoyed reading again. still dont force myself into classics, but much more willing to read something that isn't just progression fantasy
I only really feel emotions when I drink, but I don't want to do that.
thats what you get for studying computer science like an automaton
>>25425029I studied a humanities degree but barely went to in-person classes, rarely read any of the assigned literature and studied only on the last day before an exam, so I never learned anything and I hated it
>>25424994I am also a person with no goals or desires, nor personality, but works of fiction get me emotional too easily. I cry over the most dumb cliche plots, even things aimed at children. I ruminate about things I read and their philosophy for a long time to the point where I get lost out of reality. I inexplicably cried for half an hour when reading about the christmas truce, just from emotion alone, despite it having nothing to do with me. Why are we similar but different?
Fuck your blog, faggot.A thread died for this, and so should you.
