I love these lil niggas
>>25425549fuuuuuuuuuck no
They eat books. And all of the stuff sold on stores don’t seem to work.
>>25425557They have good taste.
>>25425549i live in a part of the world that doesn’t get these. saw this pic and a part of my brain i don’t know where from (minecraft?) said ‘silverfish’. and i googled it and bullseye. its weird how your intuition can work things out instantly that your conscious brain might take years to get to.
>>25425577you knew of them from Breaking Bad
>>25425589only insect i remember from bb is a fly
>>25425557Apparently they can live over a year without food so long as they have a water source. Insects are so hard to kill.I think silica will do the job because it's a mechanical death, but it's so awkward to use in any space, let alone near books and shit.
>>25425594They need humidity too. If you live in a humid place just get a dehumidifier. Which would probably be good to have anyway in that climate to prevent mildew
why don't you marry it then anon
>>25425549you ever put them on your peenor?
>>25425549i don't care for them, personally
>>25425620does damage to your skin & throat.
asmongold doesnt look like that
>>25425685not really. apparently these guys need RH above 75%. you should not be keeping anything in that type of environment anyway.
>>25425549There's a spider web in the corner of my living room, I just let him live there and eat bugs and shit. He doesn't ever bother me
>>25425549What they taste like?
>>25425774chicken
>>25425766That's what I doSpiders are friends of humans and eat pests
>>25425577Basic silverfish aren't bad, it's the so called paper silverfish that likes to climb walls and eat paper and ink. And even if they aren't endemic to where you live, they can come with cardboard boxes if you order stuff from abroad. Always get rid of boxes as soon as possible.

>>25428104i saw one of these for the first time last night. love bugs but it scared me so bad
>>25425766i had to train my wife and kids not to kill spiders and other predators on sight at our home. about two years ago they finally started leaving them be and it's night and day when it comes to pests. we live in a wooded part of new england so just about everything you can imagine would make its way inside every now and then, now we really only deal with fruit flies when my dumbass wife leaves fruit to rot in the fruit bowl
>>25428147I think the pincers are mostly for show, I poked one on the pincers a few times trying to get it to pinch me and it just ran away
>>25428231>>25428147They are completely harmless believe it or not.
>>25428225Take a mason jar and fill it a few inches with apple cider vinegar. Put a couple squirts of dish soap into it and swish around. Take the metal cap and make 8-10 small holes in it - small yet large enough for them to crawl through at ease. Put metal cap on jar and leave jar on your counter in an inconspicuous place once you start noticing fruit flies for the season. Swish around every once in a while to release odors if you notice them not going in. You’ll never have a fruit fly problem again.
>>25428262and i think they were found in an ear exactly once, making their name and the terrifying implications ultimately not true
>>25428264my hatred of bugs is unironic and ever-present, so i actually got into breeding and raising carnivorous plants at a young agewhen the flies come i move my droseras into the kitchen and they feastbut yeah breaking surface tension of even a jar of water is enough to deal with a ton of bugs, the cocky fucks all expect to be able to walk on the surface to take a drink and whoops there they go. i used that trick to deal with a spring tail infestation many years ago. harmless fuckers, actually kinda cute with their little jumping trick, but they breed by the thousands
>>25428225>we live in a wooded part of new englandyep, I'm in the midwest now but that's where I grew up and why I keep em around. I also just think bugs are kinda cool, I don't want to kill them
