I wonder if the very few remaining white male professors of actual Western literature actually reflect upon something like Dark Souls having hundreds of in-depth analysis "lore" videos. The amount of time and effort spend on it completely dwarfs all lit analysis.Though I suppose more realistically they've simply given up as their department has been irrevocably turned over to DEI and authors who can't write at at a freshman level.
Videogames have a lower barrier to entry than literature. Videogames require less thought, and more importantly don't require the attention span that books require.

In fact that one Zoomer gets millions of viewed doing vids on Blood Meridian and other books. And his analysis is certainly superior to what you'd get from a modern Ivy League "professor" named Shaniqua whose sole qualification is she hates whitey.
