does anyone here read pulp magazines and stories?
well, I like pulps. so here's a little /lit/ storytime for you.
"Defense Mech", by Ray Bradbury. originally published in the Spring. 1946 issue of Planet Stories. i may post other stories if i feel like it.

It's amazing how pulp received bad rep back in the day despite it producing some of the most prolific authors.

I listen to audiobook book and radio play versions of classic pulps, as well as newer stuff put on youtube.
It's deeply apart of my inspiration as a writer.
That said I don't keep up with current in print publications of any kind, and it's rare for me to get my hands on a physical collection of pulp stories.
I mean I could probably ask my "local" library to request a few but I only go there like twice a year because it's 12 miles away and I don't have a car.
Actually local bookstore doesn't stock that kind of stuff.
I guess I could dig around amazon, but why pay for something when the author is long dead? To enrich whatever corporation is squatting on the publication rights?
