Be honest /lit/. Have much Voltaire have you read?

Last year I read an “hilarious” excerpt from his philosophical dictionary on physicians. Blehh

0 like every other french fraud, germans are better and will remain so

Candide once. A long, long time ago. Should I read Micromegas? English Letters? Anything else?
>>
>>25427741
>Should I read Micromegas?
Definitely a good book for re-entry
>>
Candide, Micromegas, and Zadig. I'd like to read either the Penguin or Oxford edition of the Philosophical Dictionary but my library doesn't have them, I just checked
>>

All of these 18th century french figures just seem completely inane, uninteresting, and not real philosophers. Diderot, Voltaire, Rousseau, Montesquieu. Not remotely interested in any of these fags.

>Germans are better than the French, and I know this because I haven't read any French!
Thanks for identifying yourself as a retard, retard.

I've read his Oedipus and this compilation of his short stories. I'd love to read his correspondence too one day, but it's so damn long (thirteen 1500-page volumes).

Rousseau and Montesquieu are decent

>>25427802
Germans actually are better, Pierre. Nice psyop.

All the tales, and some of the plays. The contemporaries were correct and he's one of the very great playwrights and the best of the 18th century (that includes Goethe, Baumarchais, etc). The dictionnary is fine.

Least deranged inferiority complex germaboo bringing such baggage out of nowhere. Btw we all know you're a larper. Perhaps brown or, worse, American. Literate Germans would know the importance of Voltaire to German letters.
>>
Just Candide. It was fun but it didn't make me want to explore anything else from him. Is he actually worth getting into?
>>
>>25427739
You're barely literate if this is true.
