The dumbest disney adult bitch I ever knew loved this book and the movie (she was also a type-b middling sociopath who cheated on her bf with his best friend fwiw). Her recommendations were always awful and infantilizing. When I found out she loved this book, I immediately knew it was hot smelly skunk roadkill trash. Will never read.

I don't enjoy his writing style. It's too twee or precious. Yes, I know you're using clever dry wordplay. You don't need to remind me constantly. I get a similar vibe from Terry Pratchett but his comes across as a little more self aware. I should say I like dry British humor in general.
