Most poetry today is entrepreneurship. Social media is king.
at this point you're lucky if you find someone who remembers poetry exists outside of prose poetry

I suppose you're thinking of prosaic writing line-broken at random, but really that's the opposite of prose poetry, for they cannot do without the line break, the visual indicator that screams Look, I am verse, I am poetry! >>25454339Buy some issues of some current mags. You'll find maybe two or three excellent, ideologically tolerable pieces in each one. Then, buy a full collection from one of those poets you can seemingly tolerate. Couldn't really tell you who the best is. There are so many active poets today. Too many to sift through for some sort of ranking system.
